Terrebonne Parish Sheriff Tim Soignet released new details on the double murder investigation in Montegut, Louisiana.
Sheriff Soignet says 35-year-old Beau Cormier from Kaplan, Louisiana allegedly hired Andrew Eskine and Dalvin Wilson to kill a woman who accused him of raping her.
When the two hired shooters show up at the victim’s home, he says they asked for the rape victim. The sheriff says that Beau Cormier's sister, Brittany said she was the women they were looking.
Soignet says the hired guns then killed Brittany Cormier. The also allegedly murdered Hope Nettleton when she tried to stop them from killing Cormier.
“Hope Nettleton actually struggled with the shooter and was shot fighting him off,” said Sheriff Soignet.
The rape victim remains alive.
He says all three men confessed to their roles in the murder. They are booked with two counts of first-degree murder and each are held on a $2 million bond.
