An autopsy reveals the cause of death for a woman whose body was found rolled up in a blanket in a Central City apartment Monday night was strangulation.
New Orleans Police discovered the body of 61-year-old Lynn Doyle in the 1900 block of Josephine Street after a neighbor reported a foul smell.
"The case was initially reported as being an unclassified death," said police in a statement. "The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office conducted an autopsy and confirmed the victim died as a result of a homicide."
Police say anyone who has information should call NOPD Homicide detectives at (504) 658-5300, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or toll free at (877) 903-7867 (STOP).
