New Orleans Police are investigating a homicide in the 4000 block of Banks Street.
Police say shortly after 3 p.m. Friday, officers requested New Orleans EMS to treat a female with blunt force trauma to her head.
According to NOPD, the paramedics declared the victim dead on the scene.

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
