A New Orleans man faces charges of burglary, indecent behavior with a juvenile, sexual battery, and other felonies, after a Kenner Police investigation.

Around 4:30 Sunday morning, Kenner Police responded to a reported break-in at an apartment in the 600 block of Vintage Drive. A resident reported a strange man in their living room and immediately dialed 911.

Kenner Police officers, on stake-out nearby at an apartment complex in the 3800 block of Grandlake Boulevard on previous reports of trespassing and a peeping Tom in the area, responded immediately.

"As officers searched the area, a second call was made to 911 to report a second incident in which a resident of the Vintage Drive apartment complex awoke to find the suspect in her apartment, upon confronting the suspect, he exposed himself and groped the victim before fleeing the apartment," Capt. Michael Cunningham said.

Cunningham says officers caught site of the suspect fleeing the apartment.

After a brief chase, officers arrested 21-year-old Cam'ron Diggs of New Orleans.

"Following his arrest, Diggs was connected to the Grandlake Blvd. incidents and arrested accordingly," said Cunningham.

Diggs was booked on two counts of criminal trespass, two voyeurism counts, two obscenity counts, two counts of indecent behavior with a juvenile, two counts of attempted burglary, two counts of sexual battery, one count of aggravated burglary, and one count of attempted aggravated burglary.

Police say Diggs is also wanted by the New Orleans Police Department for aggravated assault with a firearm and the Jefferson Parish Sheriff's Office for obscenity.

Kenner Police are asking anyone who might have encountered Diggs to contact them at (504) 712-2222 or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111.

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward.
