New Orleans Police are in a standoff with a suspect.
"The NOPD has declared a SWAT roll in the 4200 block of South Carrollton Avenue," according to a news release. "Initial information shows a male subject reportedly barricaded inside of a residence and refusing to exit."
Authorities had few details.
"No further information is currently available."
Cops closed South Carrollton Avenue between Banks Street and Tulane Avenue.
"Drivers are urged to avoid this area and to seek alternate routes while police activity is ongoing."
