A man is dead after a Saturday night shooting in New Orleans.
Cops responded to the area of Freret and 6th Street after reports of gunfire around 10pm.
They arrived to find the victim.
There was no initial information on suspects or a motive.
New Orleans has now surpassed 50 murders for 2026.
The most recent report from the Metro Crime Commission shows overall, murder is down 29% compared to last year.
