New Orleans Police say two men were shot overnight in different parts of town.
The first was Uptown.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 2000 block of General Pershing Street," Senior Public Information Officer Aaron Looney informed the media.
One man was wounded in that incident shortly before 12:30am.
"A male gunshot wound victim was transported from the scene via EMS."
Looney says about 30 minutes later, gunfire rang out in the Marigny.
"The NOPD is investigating a shooting in the 800 block of Saint Ferdinand Street,"
He says an adult male suffered a gunshot wound, and EMS took him to a local hospital just before 1:00am.
