We are two NFL games in to the new football season, and this Sunday at noon, it will be the Saints turn to finally kick off for 2026.
The Saints will march into Ford Field Sunday at noon and while fans are all excited to finally see how quarterback Tyler Shough looks as he starts the season for the first time, the Voice of the Saints Mike Hoss says a lot of that will depend on how much run support Shough can get.
"This is Travis Etienne's offense, and we need it. We need this offensive line to stay healthy," Hoss said. "He's kind of the key," said Hoss. "Can he and Kendre Miller and ALvin Kamara, assuming that he plays, put up a running game? Can this offensive line open some holes?"
Hoss says Etienne has the ability to explode for big gains and touchdowns.
"He has the ability to take it to the house at any point," said Hoss, and that's something the offense has lacked. In 2025, the Saints had only one game where they scored more than 30 points.
