The New Orleans Saints host the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday in their home opener this season.
Long-time handicapper John Rainey, The Rainman, likes the way the Saints are playing.
"I like the Saints 23 - 17 this weekend, and hold on to your hats... I think they win the division," he predicted.
Rainey says the Saints have shown no signs of any major deficiencies.
"They are pretty solid on all fronts. They don't have any glaring weaknesses."
He notes, however, they have to get off to better starts in games; after a couple of slow first halves so far.
"They score six points in the first half and 48 in the second half."
Rainey says while that shows they are making great second half adjustments, that isn't going to keep working.
However, he feels they will put it together.
"They are not the Saints they used to be... used to, you could count on the Saints to take a play off here and there; sometimes just kinda slow down and almost evaporate in the second half. You don't see that anymore."
