New Orleans has officially returned to its pre-pandemic tourism levels. The Crescent City welcomed nearly 19 million visitors in 2024. Those guests generated approximately $10 billion in economic impact.

This achievement aligns with the city's 2019 figures, marking a significant milestone in its recovery.

Walt Leger III, President and CEO of New Orleans & Company.

"We saw not only near identical numbers in the amount of people but they also spent more."

Infrastructure enhancements, initiated in preparation for the upcoming Super Bowl, have fortified the city's capacity to host large-scale events.

"Our ongoing infrastructure improvements ensure that New Orleans remains built to host," Leger noted.

Looking ahead, the summer season promises continued momentum with major events like Essence Festival and a high-profile UFC bout set to draw substantial crowds featuring Max Holloway and Louisiana native Dustin Poirier who will be taking his final walk to the octagon.

As New Orleans continues to thrive as a top-tier destination, the city's unique culture, hospitality, and strategic investments position it to remain a go-to destination.
