Heat, humidity, and low rain chances on tap this week

Feeling hot, hot, hot: Summer heatwave continues this week
Ian Auzenne/WWL

Tropical Storm Arthur is gone, and summer is here. That means we return to the typical copy-and-paste forecast we typically see this time of year.

Expect lots of heat and humidity over the next few days. High temperatures will reach the low- to mid-90s, with heat indices getting well into the triple digits. We'll keep slight rain chances in the forecast because daytime heating could spawn a pop-up shower or thunderstorm.

Overnight low temperatures will range in the mid- to upper-70s.
