The first shooting happened on South Robertson Street near Toledano in Central City. Police say a man was grazed by a bullet. A spokesman did not provide any other information about the victim or the shooting.
The other shooting happened around 9 p.m. on Third Street at Derbigny Street in the Hoffman Triangle. Police say the victim suffered a back wound. That victim later died. Police are now investigating that case as a homicide.
