In the wake of a loss at home, the last home game of the season, Saints fans and pros alike are assessing what is needed to get the Black and Gold back on the winning side of the ball.
The assessments range from front office and coaching changes to substitutions on the roster. But just what is the championship recipe?
NFL analyst and co-host of Sports Talk, Mike Detillier says its a lack of young talent that keeps nipping at the heels of the Saints.
"You have to go to the draft and make sure you're picking the right fit."
Detillier says just because a talent has the buzz behind them, doesn't mean that talent is the right one for the team.
Mike D. also says the QB1 of the future is not in the lockeroom.
"You can try to fool yourself, but you get the talent you need at that position in the draft."
And as for head coach, Detillier says, "They are going to go a different direction."
