WWL's Newell Normand went through hundreds of pages of special counsel Robert Hur's report detailing why President Joe Biden would not be charged for retaining classified documents.
And he could hardly believe it. "Never have I ever seen the benefit of the doubt being given to the subject of a criminal investigation like this one," he said.
Normand highlighted the 14-page executive summary of Hur's report released last month that explained why he wouldn’t charge Biden with mishandling classified documents.

Hur immediately made headlines when he said Biden displayed a “poor memory” and “diminished faculties” in their interview. But the full report makes it clear that Biden intentionally kept classified documents specifically about Afghanistan policy and deliberations he'd had with then-President Barack Obama to help underscore his positions on those important issues.
"But now, the full transcripts of Hur’s interviews with Biden have been released — and they make Hur’s claims about Biden’s memory appear cherry-picked and exaggerated," Vox reported.
Biden sat for more than five hours with Hur’s team over two days. As Vox explained "In that time, he said he did not recall specifics about how particular boxes ended up in his residences or offices after his vice presidency. But he engaged at length about his process for handling classified information and many other topics."
