The Supreme Court were once again the nation’s top newsmakers yesterday after their 6-3 decision that Donald Trump could claim Presidential immunity for “official acts” carried out in the process of serving as President.

In the wake of that decision, President Joe Biden issued a scathing verbal rebuke to the Court, one that WWL’s Newell Normand took issue with.

“Putting a target on the back of the Supreme Court is just about the worst thing that a president could do,” Normand said. “Every time that Trump attacked the court when he was President, I criticized him, and I’m going to criticize Joe Biden for the same thing.”

Normand characterized the Democrats as blowing the meaning of the court’s decision drastically out of proportion.

“Does anybody really believe that there’s statutory authority or constitutional authority or presumed authority or otherwise to kill a perfectly innocent citizen in the United States?” Normand asked. “Utilizing Naval Seal Team Six? But we actually have Supreme Court justices using that as examples.”
