When it comes to the continued difficulties with controlling the nation’s southern border, WWL’s Newell Normand said on his Monday show that illicit actors in foreign countries as well as in the U.S. are lining their pockets on the backs of the migrants looking to enter America.
“It’s all about the Benjamins,” Normand said. “That’s what this is all about. It’s one of the reasons nobody wants any of this to go away. The more screwed up it is, the better off it is for everybody.”
Of course, Normand says, “everybody” doesn’t include the rank-and-file taxpayers whose money funds the programs that are supposed to solve the immigration processing issues.
“Everybody’s making money at the border,” he surmised. “We’re just paying the bill. We pay the taxes.”
