Some people think it's an insult to call a GOP voter a 'RINO' or 'Republican In Name Only,' but Newell Normand took some time on his show to explain why it's just fine by him.
He said he's never been an individual who refuses to criticize people in his party, and he doesn't want to be one.
"If that means I'm an independent thinker ... then I'm proud to be a RINO," he said, adding "I am not going to follow any leader from any party like they're a cult leader like Jim Jones and walking right off a cliff while drinking the elixir."
When Donald Trump said to Hungary's leader Victor Orban that the U.S. would cut off military aid to Ukraine, Normand argued it would be the wrong decision. And he won't agree with Trump just because he's the presumptive GOP leader.
"These are your dollars that are being spent," he said, and they're being spent to keep troops from having to go to Ukraine.
"I'm not going to be hoodwinked by him, by Biden, by anybody," Normand said. "Why would you think that anybody would agree 100% with any political figure that is speaking in sound bites?"
