New Orleans firefighters began their Saturday with a two-alarm fire at 2630 Annette Street.
The fire was reported shortly after 3 a.m.
Windy conditions overnight made the fire a challenge, but fire officials say they kept the blaze contained to the abandoned house and brought it under control shortly before 4 a.m.
NOFD says the building was unoccupied and had no utilities connected.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
