New Orleans Fire Department moving to new City Park Avenue headquarters

For the first time in more than a century, the New Orleans Fire Department is moving to new headquarters.

The NOFD will make that move on Wednesday, leaving its current location on Decatur Street for a new building at 401 City Park Avenue. The move will continue through Monday, when administrative operations at the new headquarters will begin.

Despite the administrative shutdown, fire and emergency response operations will continue as normal.
