NoLatoya.org sues over inaccurate voter rolls
NoLatoya.Org

The NoLatoya.Org group is taking legal action in Orleans Parish Civil Court, suing Parish Registrar Sandra Wilson and Secretary of State Kyle Ardoin regarding the accuracy of registered voters on rolls.

The group held a press conference in the Lakeview District this afternoon featuring attorneys Laura Cannizzaro Rodrigue and Blake Arcuri.

NoLatoya claims the rolls of registered voters include people who were dead and others who are currently living and/or registered to vote outside Orleans Parish.

The group says over 30,000 names listed as active need to checked for accuracy and those who are not registered in Orleans Parish, either by passing away or moving away, should be removed from the rolls.

Doing so would lower the threshold the NoLatoya.Org movement would need to meet the number of voters’ signatures to trigger a recall election.
