New Orleans Police say they have arrested a 30-year-old man in connection with an attempted armed robbery of a Westbank fast-food restaurant.
The incident happened Friday night at a Taco Bell on Gen. De Gaulle Drive.
Cops say Delton Montrell Hunter turned himself in Wednesday.
"According to investigators, an adult black male subject reportedly attempted to order food while on foot at the drive-thru window of a fast food restaurant at about 11:23 p.m.," said police. "When the restaurant denied him service, the subject then reportedly entered the restaurant through the drive-thru window and brandished a firearm, again demanding food."
Employees refused and the man climbed back out the drive-through window and reportedly fled the scene via motorized scooter.
Hunter was booked on one count of attempted armed robbery with a firearm.
