The New Orleans Police Department says two juveniles are arrested in connection with an armed robbery and a carjacking investigation.
The say the two crimes happened in New Orleans East within a 12-hour period on Wednesday, January 6.
“The two suspects were initially arrested after being positively identified as the perpetrators of an armed robbery in the 7000 block of Crowder Boulevard,” said an NOPD release. “Through further investigation, NOPD Seventh District detectives determined the suspects were also responsible for an armed robbery in the 7000 block of Lake Willow Drive and an armed carjacking in the 7000 block of Lawrence Road. The three incidents occurred during a span beginning at 11:30 a.m. and ending at 10:25 p.m.”
Police say the juveniles are booked into the Juvenile Justice Intervention Center, each on two counts of armed robbery and one count of armed carjacking.
