New Orleans Police are investigating a shooting at the intersection of Basin and Canal Streets.
The call came in just before 12:30 this afternoon.
Arriving officers located a woman suffering with a gunshot wound to the body.
EMS arrived and transported the woman to a local hospital for treatment.
No other information about the aggravated battery has been released.
