Police are investigating a shooting in Algiers that left one man dead.
They say it happened about 3:40 p.m. Monday evening in the 3400 block of Blair Street. Officers were responding to a call of shots fired in the area and when they arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds.
EMS took him to the hospital where he later died. The Orleans Parish Coroner's Office will determine the official cause of death and release the victim's name once an autopsy is completed.
