Investigators with the New Orleans Police Department are working to find out what led to a man in a wheelchair getting fatally shoot in Algiers.
Police reported the shooting at about 9:30 p.m. Monday night. They say the man was sitting in his wheelchair outside a home in the 2100 block of Springbrook Lane when someone approached and shot him. The man was taken to the hospital by EMS but later died from his injuries.
Few details are available as the investigation is ongoing.
