Two violent crimes happened in a span of several hours says the New Orleans Police Department. The first happened Monday evening at about 5:05 p.m. in the 5900 block of De Bore Circle.
“Officers were notified about a suspicious person in need of help at the location. Upon arrival, officers discovered an adult female suffering from multiple stab wounds,” an NOPD report said. The victim was pronounced deceased on the scene.
Officers have apprehended one adult male who is believed to be responsible for the stabbing. No further details are currently available.
Then in the Irish Channel, a man was shot and died. Police reported the shooting shortly after midnight on Tuesday. The shooting happened near the intersection of Louisiana Avenue and Chippewa Street.
The victim was transported to the hospital by EMS. No further details are currently available.
