The NOPD is investigating a shooting that happened in the 9th Ward.
It happened at about 11:50 p.m. Wednesday in the 2000 block of Deslonde Street but the shooting was not confirmed by the NOPD until about four hours later Thursday morning.
Initial police reports show an adult male with gunshot wounds to the face and arm arriving to an area hospital via private conveyance.
NOPD was first notified of this incident at about 11:50 p.m. on July 27, with confirmation received at about 4:25 a.m. on July 28.
