The NOPD is investigating a shooting on Interstate 10 that happened near the Superdome.

An initial NOPD report says, “Around 2:23 a.m. officers responded to I-10 east at the Slidell exit. Upon arrival, they discovered an adult male victim suffering from an undetermined number of gunshot wounds.”
The victim tells police he noticed two vehicles on each side of him, then he heard shots fired. The victim was transported to a local hospital by EMS.
