A man was found shot to death in Treme and now the NOPD is investigating.
It happened overnight at the intersection of St. Philip and Treme streets that left one person dead.
“At about 12:46 a.m., NOPD First District officers near the location responded to a report of a person down at the location. Upon arrival, officers located a male victim lying in the street and having sustained multiple gunshot wounds. The victim was declared deceased on scene,” says an NOPD report.
Investigators are currently in the process of gathering evidence and information to identify the person or persons responsible for this incident, as well as a motive. No additional details are currently available.
