New Orleans Police homicide detectives are investigating a fatal shooting in New Orleans East. Police say the victim was found the 5100 block of Lakeview Court around 11:35 this morning, but was shot elsewhere.
"It was later determined that the victim was shot near the intersection of Chef Menteur Highway and Alcee Fortier Boulevard," said police in a statement. "He was then driven to the 5100 block of Lakeview Court where he died.."

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
