An overnight shooting in New Orleans East has NOPD investigating this morning.
Officers were called to a shooting just after 1230 this morning at the corner of Chef Menteur Hwy and Downman Road.
Investigators found a man on the ground suffering from a gunshot wound. ems later confirmed the man was dead.
The coroner's office will release the victims name once the family has been notified.
Then, just before 1:10am, second district officers arrived on the scene of another shooting in the 4200 block of Fountainbleu Dr.
There they found a male victim with an apparent gunshot wound. The man was transported by EMS to a local hospital. No further details are available.
