Police in New Orleans investigate two separate shootings Sunday night, in what has become a violent Memorial Day weekend in the city.
An NOPD report says, “At around 11:11 p.m., NOPD began investigating a shooting that occurred at or near the intersection of Downman Road and Old Gentilly Road. The male victim, suffering from a gunshot wound(s) arrived at the hospital via private conveyance. No further information is available at this time.”
Later, at around 1:31 a.m. police say another shooting happened. According to a report, “ NOPD began investigating a shooting at a yet to be determined location after the victim arrived at the hospital by private conveyance suffering from a gunshot wound to the lower extremity.”
These two shootings come after a 12-year-old girl was shot along with two other people in the 500 block of Delery Street.
Police are working to determine a motive and a suspect or suspects in these shootings.
