NOPD investigates two shootings minutes apart

Violent crime in New Orleans is keeping the NOPD busy. Police are investigating two separate shootings that happened just minutes apart from each other.

Police got a call of a shooting at about 12:25 a.m. Tuesday in the 2700 block of Napoleon Avenue. Initial police reports show an adult male was shot and transported via private conveyance to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. The original location of occurrence has not been determined.


The second shooting happened at 12:29 a.m.at the intersection of South Claiborne Avenue and Martin L. King Jr Boulevard. Initial reports show that an adult male sustained a gunshot wound to his body. EMS transported the victim to a local hospital to be treated for his injuries. His condition is unknown.
