Suspects in three separate homicides in New Orleans are now in jail, with the latest arrest coming Tuesday morning, the New Orleans Police Department said.

The NOPD Violent Offenders Warrant Squad (VOWS), along with deputies from the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force, arrested 18-year-old Michael McBride on charges of second degree murder. Police say McBride fatally shot 17-year-old Eric Simmons III on November 12 on Stroelitz St. off Palmetto and S. Carrollton. Authorities arrested him on Tuesday morning.

The previous afternoon, NOPD caught up with 20-year-old Amondo McDonald and arrested him for the March 11 killing of 23-year-old Bobby Levigne. Levigne was shot to death last Wednesday night in the 7900 block of Chef Menteur Highway.

And on February 26, NOPD VOWS and the U.S. Marshal's Fugitive Task Force arrested 35-year-old George Cowart. Cowart is the suspect in the February 12 death of 39-year-old Rudi Gastinelli. Gastinelli was shot to death in the 3300 block of Hamilton Street.

Anyone with additional information on these homicides is asked to contact the Homicide Unit at (504) 658-5300, or Crimestoppers at (504) 822-1111 or toll-free at (877) 903-7867 (STOP).

Callers to Crimestoppers do not have to leave their names and may be eligible for a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest and indictment.
