The New Orleans Police Department says it's investigating a shooting in which a man was shot in his manhood.
According to the NOPD's daily offense report, officers in the Fourth District received a call about the incident around 4:30 a.m. Monday.
The log says the victim, identified only as a 36-year-old man, suffered a gunshot wound to his genitals. The victim went to the hospital via a private vehicle. The victim's condition is not known.
Police are still trying to determine of the shot was self-inflicted or the result of someone firing at the victim.
