A man is in the hospital after police say he was shot in the Lower Ninth Ward.
According to New Orleans Police Department spokesperson Reese Harper, the shooting happened just before 5 p.m. Monday on Deslonde Street near North Derbigny Street.
Harper says the victim suffered a wound to his body. That victim, Harper says, was taken to the hospital via a private vehicle. The victim’s condition is unknown.
The NOPD’s investigation into the shooting is ongoing.
