Police in New Orleans investigate a Monday night shooting near I-610.
Initial police alert says it happened near the intersection of I-610 East & Canal Blvd exit. According to an NOPD report, the victim tells police a vehicle was following close behind the victim as he was driving. The victim stated he hit the brakes and the male suspect then drove around and pulled up to the side of the victim’s vehicle. The two men exchanged words then the suspect pointed a gun at the victim and fired hitting him in the back, according to police. Victim drove himself to hospital. His condition is unknown.
