A man is in the hospital after a shooting in Gentilly.
According to a New Orleans Police Department spokesperson, that shooting happened around 4:30 p.m. Monday at the intersection of Gentilly Boulevard and Elysian Fields Avenue.
According to the NOPD's Major Offense Log, the victim and a security guard got into an argument. That's when the security guard pulled his gun and shot the victim. The victim suffered a body wound. An EMS crew treated the victim and brought him to the hospital.
Police arrested the security guard, Nicolas Williams, at the scene without incident.
