A pedestrian is dead after a crash on the edge of downtown New Orleans.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, the crash happened around 7 p.m. on the US 90 overpass near Earhart Boulevard overpass, just blocks from the Superdome.
Investigators say the victim, a 26-year-old man, was walking his bicycle across the overpass when a vehicle struck him. The vehicle drove away without stopping. The victim died at the scene.
