The NOPD has obtained an arrest warrant for Leslea Grinstead in the investigation of a homicide that occurred on May 16, in the 2000 block of Poland Avenue.
According to investigators, “Fifth District officers responded just before 10:00 a.m. on May 16 to a call of a shooting at the location. Upon their arrival, officers located the victim suffering from an apparent gunshot wound to his body. Emergency Medical Technicians arrived on the scene and pronounced the victim dead.”
The Orleans Parish Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 31-year-old Maurice Motton.
Through investigation, NOPD homicide detectives developed Grinstead as the perpetrator in this incident. Detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Grinstead on one count of second-degree murder.
