New Orleans police say they are searching for a nine-year-old girl who was last seen by her mother whom police arrested today.
According to investigators in the NOPD's Special Victim's Division, Ambrais Nedd violated a court order by taking her daughter, Jonve Nortey, last Monday. Earlier today, local and federal authorities found Nedd and arrested her on one count of simple kidnapping.
However, investigators say Nedd refused to provide any information about her daughter's whereabouts.
Police believe Nortey is "at high risk of exploitation and/or physical harm."
