NOPD is seeking assistance in locating and identifying two suspects in the ongoing investigation of an armed robbery that occurred on August 20, 2022, on Saint Claude Avenue near Forstall in the Lower Ninth Ward.
At about 11:30 p.m., the two pictured suspects entered a store at the location. The suspect seen in the orange sweatshirt spoke to an employee before committing criminal damage inside the store. Employees indicated the suspect was reaching under his sweatshirt and inside his waist band. Employees perceived their lives were in danger and armed themselves. One employee tried to defend herself with a machete, but it was taken away from her. The suspects then physically battered the female victim and threatened to return and kill the employees before both subjects took merchandise from the store and fled in the pictured older model black Chevrolet S-10 pickup truck.
