New Orleans police are investigating two separate Wednesday morning shootings in New Orleans East.
The first took place around 11:15 a.m. on Wilson Avenue near Chef Menteur Highway. Police say two men were shot. Both victims are in the hospital.
The other shooting happened just after 11:30 a.m. at a business on Chef Menteur Highway near Downman Road. Police say one person was shot and is now in a hospital.
Police did not disclose the conditions of the victims.
Although the shootings happened 15 minutes and about 1.7 miles apart, investigators say there's no indication the two shootings are related.
