New Orleans police are investigating two early morning shootings that landed two men in area hospitals.
The first happened around 3 a.m. Saturday on Coronado Court between Prentiss Avenue and Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East. Police say they found the victim when they arrived on scene. He is in critical condition.
The second happened around 6 a.m. Saturday on Homer Plessy Way between Burgundy and North Rampart in the Bywater. Police say the victim was walking in the area when he heard gunshots. One of the bullets struck the victim in the leg.
