New Orleans police are investigating two separate shootings that happened Friday afternoon.
The first took place just before 12:30 p.m. on Lancelot Drive just a few blocks from Chef Menteur Highway in New Orleans East. Police say the victim, a man, was taken to a hospital by an EMS crew.
The second shooting happened around 12:45 p.m. at the corner of Julia and South Galvez Streets under the Interstate 10 and Pontchartrain Expressway overpasses. Police say they found a woman suffering from a gunshot wound when they arrived on scene. EMS took the victim to a hospital.
The victims' conditions are unknown.
