The New Orleans Police Department is investigating two shootings that happened late Sunday night into early Monday morning.
According to an NOPD spokesperson, officers learned about the first shooting after the victim arrived at a local hospital with a body wound. That victim arrived at the hospital around 8:15 p.m. Sunday. Authorities are still trying to figure out where that shooting took place.
The second shooting happened around 3:45 a.m. Monday on Usulines Avenue near Tremé Street, about a block away from Louis Armstrong Park. Police say a man was shot multiple times. An EMS crew took that victim to the hospital. His condition was not disclosed.
