NOPD searches for vehicle and person of interest in Downtown shooting

New Orleans police are searching for a suspect vehicle and a person of interest in a double shooting investigation that happened near the Convention Center.

The shooting happened Sunday night, June 13 at the intersection of Fulton and North Diamond streets. Two men were shot and taken to the hospital by a private vehicle. Their condition is unknown.

An NOPD report says, “The pictured subject has been developed as a person of interest in this investigation. This person of interest in not currently wanted on criminal charges. However, Eighth District detectives feel the person may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.”

Investigators are also looking for a white four-door Honda and a newer-model Chevrolet Camaro with Florida license plate.

Police say the vehicles are not considered to be suspect vehicles, but detectives feel that the people inside may have information relevant to the shooting and wish to question them.
