NOPD needs your help locating a person of interest for questioning, as well as a vehicle of interest, in the ongoing investigation of a homicide that occurred on October 9, 2022, in the 1900 block of Port Street near the intersection with North Prieur Street.
NOPD Homicide detectives want to talk to the unknown male in the picture as a person of interest in this case. The subject is not currently wanted on criminal charges. However, detectives feel he may have knowledge of information vital to the investigation and wish to interview him.
Additionally, the pictured vehicle – believed to possibly be a 2011 Hyundai Elantra Touring model – is believed to have been used by the person of interest. The vehicle has visible damage to the rear driver’s side door and a temporary paper tag on the back window.
