Two people are dead after two separate shootings, one in the Lower Ninth Ward and the other in the French Quarter.
The first shooting happened around 10 p.m. Friday on Choctaw Street near North Miro Street. Police say they found a man shot to death inside a car when they arrived.
The second happened around 4 a.m. Saturday near the intersection of St. Louis and Bourbon Streets. Police say the victim suffered a body wound. An EMS crew took the victim to a hospital, where he later died.
So far, police have not arrested any suspects in either case.
