Two people are in the hospital after two shootings that happened about a mile away from each other in New Orleans East.
According to NOPD spokesperson Reese Harper, the first shooting happened around 3:30 p.m. on Tara Lane near Lake Forest Boulevard. Harper says a man was shot in that incident
Harper says the second shooting happened around 5 p.m. on Lawrence Road near Lake Willow Drive. Harper says the woman was shot once in the body.
According to Harper, the victims in both cases went to local hospitals via a private vehicle. Harper did not disclose the victims’ conditions or if police have developed any suspects or motives. Harper also did not indicate if the shootings are connected.
